2023 Adventures

I have 365 new days to think about my new Dreams. Each beautiful day brings gratitude, hope and love to my life and I can not wait to write about it. I credit this to my wife who states to me each and every morning: “What exciting things are we going to do today?” Love it!

Saratoga resort is a large resort and showcases some really amazing sights. As you walk around you’ll see lots of open areas filled with grass, golfers, bridges and small lakes featuring fountains. A place to escape and lose yourself except for the attacking squirrels.

Disney Cruise Line got it right when they named its fourth ship the Disney Fantasy. Staying a week traveling to Puerto Rico, Virgin Gorda Baths and Disney’s Castaway Cay. Life is at its best when you can share life with the one you love on a deserted island in the Atlantic.

With each passing day our walks through either EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs got longer and faster. At the end of each day I felt a greater intimacy not only with my best friend and wife, but with myself. Especially after the Guardians of the Galaxy.

First the Tijuana Norovirus. Then the Ellensburg, WA gastroenteritis. Next a severe case of COVID-19. And now RSV for more than two weeks. Enough of the viruses.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated only once a year. I feel guilty because living with you is like having Valentine’s Day every day of the year. Each day is special when I spend it with the love of my life.

Eloise and Rooney have found people who love them and need them as much as the both of them need people. Money can’t buy Love. Good Frenchies and family that love you are worth their weight in gold.

MM decided that it was in her best interest to quit counting candles on her birthday cake. So for 2023 she had her favorite pie, wine and dinner. We both smiled and decided to embrace life.

I donated a knife, a sheath and custom case to the Frenchtown Bronc Stadium Fund. A knife collector purchased it for $1600.00 at the silent auction. Maybe my knives are a bit better than I give myself credit.

An incredible Mother’s Day Present arrives from the most fantastic daughter in the world. Where’s the dang operating manual?

T-Ma gets a kitchen knife with a turquoise handle with a Texas State mosaic pin. “L” celebrated a birthday and “W” his swimming. We learned about Fasting, Hormone replacement & Trump. Interesting….

Mimi is so good with the Grandkids and Grandpuppies. Up at dawn for belly rubs, breakfast and walks. Afternoons everyone taking naps… And one sprained ankle. Miss Eloise won first prize for the stinkiest farts,

Twenty four hour trip to Spokane WA. We celebrated our 27th anniversary. Enjoyed the comforts of the Historic Davenport, had a wonderful lunch, shopped for clothes for Europe. Excited about Life!

Our Grandpuppies come to Montana. Their loving Mother put them in our care to spoil, over feed and play with for eight wonderful days. Rooney only threw up once. Travel tested puppy dogs.

Beautiful afternoon visiting friends house on Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake Biological Station personnel from Yellow Bay were demonstrating the latest methods of water research for clean water. Fun Night on Flathead Lake.

Mimi and I are going to keep having fun every day we wake up in this life. We have learned that by ourselves we can do so little; together we can do so much. Love is Great!

There is something haunting about the light of the Moon. It reflects the beauty of the mountains, the lake and the sky. I miss living on the lake.

Time on our own revisiting Dublin. One of our favorite cities in the world. Dublin is a fabulous place. The trouble with Dublin is… all Dubliners seem to party hard and of course so do we.

Dublin Weston, EPIC, Teeling Whiskey, Local pub, Belfast Ireland, Tracey’s Farm, Dee and Belfast Tour, Titanic Experience, Antrim Coast, Giant’s Causeway, Bushmill Inn, And more.

I am starting to realize that my Grandpuppies are blessing me with some of the happiest days of my life and one day the worst two days of my life, but nothing compared to what my daughter will feel.

Miss Rooney and Miss Eloise are perfect except for one major fault… their lives are way too short.

New York an ocean of people filling the bustling streets, experiencing the vibrant cultural scene and world-famous landmarks such as the NY Botanical Garden, Central Park, Times Square and Empire State Building. We tried to do it all… I could not live on $14.00 Cokes and $400.00 meals in NY.

Mistakes are not an option when traveling the roads of Montana in the Winter. Even if the weather is perfect so many things can happen. Bozeman redefined slippery. How long will our cross state luck last?

Adults can take a simple holiday for children and screw it up in so many ways. . Fun time for everyone except Mimi who has to do all the cooking, setting table, caring for Billie, then cleanup and putting everything away. Is the time and cost worth it all? Probably only to Dee!
